How to return another cell if one cell equals text or another in Excel?

I'm guessing it is because there are three loops. The third loop iterates through every char in the string to check if it is an allowed char or not and then keeps or deletes it. What can I do to improve performance, or at least, make it so that Excel doesn't turn unresponsive? Sidenote: It is supposed to work both on Mac. The IF function in Excel returns one value if a condition is true and another value if it's false. You can use up to 64 additional IF functions inside an IF function.
